So you found us, Verloren. A guild created to gather artists and roleplayers all in one place. An area that is ours to practice our talents and enjoy each others company. Here you will find guild forums to roleplay in, active members on the neopets boards daily, and many other activities. Our main rule is to keep active and do not forget that by joining you have a responsibility to show up every now and then. Think of it as a getaway from the real world; relax in roleplaying and drawing.
Discover Verloren, a world where your characters of all kinds will be able to interact all in one forum. We will also attempt to always have some kind of plot going on, so that your characters may grow and you will have tools to become inspired. Originally, the idea came into the heads of Jace and Kate because they wished to make a place that would attract active members. They wanted a guild that would be more of a world; a place for members to allow themselves to become involved. Read on to find out more about our world...

Verloren//
Verloren is not a town, it is not a city, it is a world. Being a world, it has MUCH room to roam around in. This means that you may choose practically any setting you like. Whether you would rather have your character reside in a frigid region or an exceptionally warm climate, you can find it in Verloren.
The key aspect that makes Verloren different from any other world is that there is evidence that it was once a very technilogical world. Technological remains are scattered in every climate, every terrain, everywhere you could possibly go. The devastation is found more frequently in some places than others. In fact, in some places, you should watch out for deadly radiation (unless, of course.. you like radiation)! In most places, the remains are buried or have found their place among rocks, trees, and other vegetation. You never know what you may find, however (feel free to use your imaginations.. we would love for this world to grow)!

As you probably noted, the map also has many places that are unnamed because they are undiscovered. Those places will most likely pop up in guild plots, but also they are to give members the freedom to explore and discover.
Continents:

Vlakten-
..A warm environment, this continent is covered in grassy plains and rolling hills. Here and there, you can find large, ancient trees that provide shade and shelter. There are no cities in Vlakten. Zwerven Bay connects to this region. The climate is rather controlled by the surrounding waters, but also humid.

Elderige-
..The island of Elderige has a history clouded in mystery. No one is able to access the island, it seems, unless they are summoned to it. There have been many rumors about the reasons for this, but not any true answers. The island is mostly covered in evergreen foliage; a thick forest, though a beach runs around the entire perimeter. There are no cities or harbors. This island is home to a single inhabitant, Kohinor, but the mysteries of its history are soon to be unveiled...

Moeras-
..A swamp land. Moeras is a small island, and there are many whispers that say there are some very toxic things here. Almost the least explored land of Verloren, considering the dangers.

Albastern-
.. Alabastern is the south pole of Verloren. The climate is incredibly cold, usually thirty to sixty degrees below zero. There are not many inhabitants, but some adventurous characters go here for some excitement.

Woestern-
.. This island is possibly the most populated continent of Verloren. Mostly human/anthro characters play in this region, since this is where you can find all of Verloren's cities. Heben, the smallest of cities, is really more of a town. It has low crime rates, adorable houses and buildings, and looks like a cliche village from a storybook. Luxen is larger than Heben by far, but not the largest. It has low crime rates but much hustle and bustle. Whittown is of average size, but definitely a city. Gebville is a run-down city on the outskirts of Woestern. Dreadful crime rates and little access to other cities. Stadville is the largest city in Verloren, with average crime rates and more hustle and bustle than anywhere in this world.

Rules//
1. Respect all members. No, on these forums we will not have rules like on neopets (there will be fewer restrictions) but please realize that some people do not wish to read vulgar words or other things that could make people uncomfortable.
2. BE ACTIVE. Users shouldn't stress, but they should WANT to come by at least three times a week and post somewhere, whether replying to a roleplay or just in general chat.
3. Do not use these ideas off www.neopets.com or verlorentech.com without the consent of Jacey (cytostasis) or Katie (ikib).

To apply, fill out this application. Send it to the account VerlorenTech. If you do not recieve a reply in 3 weeks, you may send your application again. Anything less than that, do not fret, we will get around to it! Feel free to use up to 3 neomails, as long as you make sure your username is in all of the titles. Remember that this application is not all we see. We will be looking into your account(s) and looking at each of your pets. We will want each of them to look as if they have a developed character, and petpages are a plus. It shows you are active on the site and keep up with your chars. It is always more impressive if you have 3-4 pets with beautiful petpages, etc than if you have 12 painted lupes with almost zero attention. Anyway, here you are:

Age: Please tell the truth here.
Where we can find your art: Maybe a dA account, maybe a petpage? Tell us where we can find examples of your art. Make sure there are more than 2-3 examples. About 5 is ok, and if you have some that would show your improvement over some time that would be great as well.
Roleplay example: This could be in another neomail on its own.5-6 lines of good roleplay, even something you have used in the past (like a copy & paste of a reply to an rp you have going on would be great). Obviously, this tidbit will reflect what you will be like in our forums, and we will take this very seriously.

Why Verloren? We don't want to hear 'BECUZ I LYK RP AND ART'. We want a real answer. Think it out, tell us why you decided on Verloren.
Is this your main? How much do you get online_ If it isn't, we will consider how active you are on your side. It COULD discourage us if this isn't your main, but don't fret; apply anyway. Tell us how often you get on neopets. One day a week? Two? Three? 24/7? Be honest.
